The God particle Higgs boson and its sequel

Finally after decades of its existence, it was only on the year 2012 that a potential discovery of the God Particle was made known to the world as “Higgs Boson” .It was derived from the name of two scientists who played an important role for this discovery namely Peter Higgs and an Indian scientist named Satyendra Nath Bose. So crucial is the Higgs boson to accounts of the formation of mass that it has sometimes been referred to as the “God particle.” This discovery of ‘The God Particle’ by the CERN scientists is the hot topic this year.

The Standard Model, created in the early sixties, is a theory to explain the nature and behavior of the fundamental particles that make up protons, neutrons and electrons, which in turn make up everything we see around us.  Peter Higgs postulated that all particles are without mass until they interact with something called the Higgs Field which explains why some elementary particles actually have mass.

This experiment was done in a research center using the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator built by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland .The primary design goals of LHC is to allow physicists to test the predictions of different theories of particle physics and high energy physics, particularly the existence of the Higgs boson and its properties. The LHC physics program is mainly based on proton–proton collisions. Physicists say the potential discovery of the "God particle" was a gateway to a new era that could see humanity unlocks some of the universe's great mysteries including dark matter.

As the celebration is still on air, India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) near Madurai in Tamil Nadu plans to release a sequel to the Higgs boson. After the discovery of Higgs Boson it was confirmed that all elementary particles do have a mass, now the sequel that INO does is to find out how neutrinos do get its mass after all. These discoveries are major bridges /links that provide us all about the Universe and how it was formed.

Recent Parody Movies: Are They Really Providing LOL Moments?

Parody movies have always interested me in a strange way; which means, I have a hard time figuring out if like them or I not. They make absolutely no sense; the humor is not anywhere close to intelligent. Basically, they do nothing to stir one’s gray cells at all. May be this is why people don’t really take spoofs or parody films seriously at all. But even then, if you consider the business they do, it is not really too bad. These movies are actually quite profitable. So, are there really any good parodies or spoofs at all?
